Short version: Caffeinate collects no personal data, sends nothing to any server, and stores only your preferences locally on your device.

What We Collect

Nothing. Caffeinate does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

Caffeinate stores the following data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local:

This data never leaves your device. It is never sent to any server.

power — Calls chrome.power.requestKeepAwake() to prevent your screen from sleeping. No data is collected.
storage — Saves your preferences locally so they persist across sessions.
alarms — Fires a timer to automatically stop the wake lock after your chosen duration.
offscreen — Monitors battery charging state via navigator.getBattery() for the while-charging feature. No data leaves your device.

All extension code is bundled locally. No scripts are loaded from external servers.

Caffeinate does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Caffeinate does not collect any data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date.
